Arilia
Long ago, a fae prince hungry for power left his old world behind to claim the throne of Tulmay. Desperate to keep the power from fading, King Balyr captures those born with magic and locks them inside a brutal prison where their gifts are drained to keep him alive.
Inside that prison, Arilia has survived every cruel attempt to break her. As a hybrid, Balyr was unable to take her magical powers. Although enslaved, she is willing to take any chance at freedom. When the prison explodes, she flees into the chaos and doesn't look back.
Wraith has made it his mission those Balyr has taken. Protected by a powerful magical barrier, his hidden sanctuary offers safety to the hunted. He has searched endlessly for his childhood friend, Arilia, only to find her bewildered and unsure.
As the king's power grows, Tulmay's very existence hangs in the balance. Together, Arilia and Wraith must decide how much they are willing to risk for their kingdom and their own survival.
